From Esquisse to Analytique: Learning from Sketching Buildings

On April 15-16th the ICAA Utah chapter held its first (sold-out) event of the year where students, architects, and designers were taught from Stephen Chrisman how to study buildings through analytical sketches.

From architectural composition to a building’s parti, participants learned how to analyze a building during a field study of the Utah State Capitol building. The fruits of these efforts resulted in the production of beautiful measured drawings and sketches. Below are a few photos from the event.
